Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was born on the 24th of February, 1955. He started creating the Apple computer at age 21 in the year 1974 with Wozniak. Steve and Wozniak started in the Jobs family garage, and funded their entrepreneurial venture after Jobs sold his Volkswagen bus and Wozniak sold his beloved scientific calculator

Jobs and Wozniak are credited with revolutionizing the computer industry by democratizing the technology and making the machines smaller, cheaper, intuitive, and accessible to everyday life.

The first model that they produce was the Apple I, which has earn $774,000. It was a success for them, and encouraging them to come out with a new model, the Apple II, three years later after the Apple I was introduce. The sales for the second model of Apple was much more profiting because it increase up to 700 percent, $139 million dollars. The Apple Computer become a publicly traded company with a market value of 1.2 billion on the first day of trading.

Left Brain, Right Brain & My Comments

                  From what I have learn, the left brain hemisphere is supposed to be the coldly logical, verbal and dominant half of the brain, while the right brain developed a reputation as the imaginative side, emotional, spatially aware but suppressed. This means that each and everyone of us have tow personalities in one head, such as the Yin and Yang, or the Hero and the Villain.     

                   In semester 4, I have to study a subject named Critical Literacy. Critical Literacy is an ongoing learning process that enables one to use reading, writing, thinking, listening, speaking, and evaluating in order to effectively interact, construct meaning, and communicate for real-life situations. 


                   The first task given by my lecturer was to do a research about 4 topics. The 4 topics are Land Diving (Naghol), Hijra (South Asia), Bride Kidnapping (Ala Kachuu), and Male Plastic Surgery. The followings are my comments from the 4 topics that I have researched. 




LAND DIVING (NAGHOL)

          The land diving tradition among the Naghol are with no doubt full of silliness. This is because, the man can show their feedback from the legend in so many ways without dangering their lives. The act that they do not only will harm their lives, they also will make their family worried.


HIJRA (SOUTH ASIA)

          The idea of changing on once gender is totally stupid. These people should accept their original gender that is given by God. This is because no matter what they do or what they dressed, their body are still created for their original gender. Thus, in certain countries, changing gender is forbidden. That is why they will never be accepted by certain people in the world.

BRIDE KIDNAPPING (ALA KACHUU)

          Ala Kachuu or well known as bride kidnapping or marriage by abduction is an unfair tradition. Woman should get married with the man that they want to or they loved. It is a human right for the woman to choose her husband.

MALE PLASTIC SURGERY

          Man turning to plastic surgery shows more positive impact then negative. This is because now days, more man are busy with their daily life to make a living and the idea of going for a plastic surgery to get an ideal body is a good way to save time and energy. Thus, some of the man out there already have an internal body damage caused by all sorts of stuff such as accidents and lots of things that do not allowed them to do heavy exercise. That is where the male plastic surgery helps them to get their dream body.
